A+V was responsible for designing and delivering the installations in two cottages that reflect the site’s historical character
There are few visionaries in Poland who are not afraid to take up daring challenges and decisions. Undoubtedly, one such person is the mayor of Pruszcz Gdański (town in the North of Poland), who came up with the idea of creating a former settlement from scratch, a project showing the history of his town from the times when the international trade route ran through it. The task of the A+V team was to design and build installations in two huts, so that they were consistent with the nature of the buildings from the Roman period, and also to make each visitor want to return to this place once again.
Museums are one of our core areas of expertise, and the project in Pruszcz Gdański is a great example of how broadly we approach multimedia exhibition design. As part of the implementation, we created exhibits equipped with large-format screens, touchscreen technology, and local directional audio systems, allowing visitors to explore digitised artefacts in detail.
At the heart of the exhibition is an interactive table featuring an application connected to a virtual map, complemented by a large-format projection, video content, and a dedicated sound system. The space was also designed to serve as a conference venue, with the ability to connect external signal sources, use microphones, and operate preconfigured scenarios through an intuitive control system.
Without false modesty, we can say that we are one of the few companies in Poland capable of delivering a multimedia museum project from start to finish, from technical concept and design through to implementation and commissioning.
