Creating the permanent exhibition

The museum is located in the most famous place of worship in Poland – the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows, Queen of Poland in the village of Licheń Stary. This is a place visited annually by crowds of Catholics. The devotees also visit the museum. The challenge was to create an exhibition that would be interesting and understandable for a wide range of visitors.
The museum in Licheń consists of six exhibition galleries presenting, among other things, Polish heritage artefacts, works of art, edged weapons, rare books, manuscripts, and patriotic memorabilia. Our task was to enhance this rich collection with modern multimedia solutions that make it easier for visitors to connect with history and explore the exhibits in a more engaging way.
The exhibition features large-format touchscreens displaying digitised rare books, a cinema room, and a series of display cases with dynamic lighting. The entire exhibition is managed through a Crestron control system, while multimedia content and lighting can be operated using wireless touch panels.
Almost 80 thousand people visited the Museum of Rev. Józef Jarzębowski in Licheń Stary within one year of its opening. The museum was honored by the Poviat of Konin with the title “Meritorious for the Poviat of Konin”. The award from the hands of the starost of Konin was received by Fr Krzysztof Jędrzejewski, the Superior of the Congregation of Marian Fathers in Licheń.
