CHALLENGE

The organization of such a large event as the European Football Championship in Poland in 2012 was undoubtedly a challenge. There was a number of new venues built to accommodate the tournament and we were tasked to equip the new Wrocław football arena in multimedia equipment. High expectations, requirements at the European level, time pressure and budget constraints – these were some of the challenges that our team had to face when working on this project.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The entire AVsystem covered eight conference rooms, Business Club, VIP Bar, technical room, control room and signal transmission system connecting selected rooms.

The main conference room used for press conferences (often with participation of guests from abroad) and live broadcasts to media around the world deserves special attention. Participants can use typical conference sources, a video conferencing system and a high-quality simultaneous interpreting system. A system of video and audio connections has been provided for journalists. As the system is integrated with a video wall, any video source can be displayed in an effective way on a large-format surface.

The VIP zones have been equipped with high-quality sound system, which makes them excellent entertainment spaces for events held at the stadium.

Audio and video signals are distributed using Extron devices, which can transmit AV signals over long distances using one twisted pair cable. The operation of all the AV systems, the room dimming system and selected building automation systems, is monitored by Crestron integrated control system, enabling Users to conveniently manage all systems from wireless touch panels and wall-mounted keyboards.

END RESULT

Despite numerous restrictions and time pressures, one of the arenas of the 2012 European Football Championship in Poland successfully entered service on time. Our team was also up to the challenge, so the Wrocław Stadium could receive guests from all over the world, providing them with appropriate technical facilities. Our systems do their job up to this day, offering trouble-free, functional and ergonomic service during many events, both nationwide and global.
