Challenge

Where legal education
meets practice

The Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw is one of the oldest and most prestigious law schools in Poland. Founded in 1808, it has a long tradition of educating legal professionals, many of whom have gone on to play significant roles in both the Polish and international legal communities. The Faculty’s reputation is built on its distinguished academic staff and the university’s unique ability to combine legal theory with practical experience.

Students regularly participate in conferences and events with international reach, while also developing practical legal skills through legal clinics, internships and moot court competitions. The Faculty is also actively involved in research projects aimed at exploring and analyzing key legal issues.

The Faculty’s leadership wanted lectures and events to be accessible to the widest possible audience. As lecture halls can accommodate only a limited number of participants, the university faced the challenge of enabling remote attendance while maintaining the highest possible quality of live broadcasts and recorded content.

The goal was to extend the reach of lectures far beyond the physical capacity of the venue. From the university’s perspective, the key requirement was to create a viewing experience that would make remote participants feel as though they were attending the event in person.

Key client requirements:

Ease of use

High sound and image quality
Events recording capability
Mobility and flexibility of the system
Native support for UHD resolution
and SDI, HDMI, NDI standards

Another important requirement was the ability to seamlessly access and replay recordings in the future, as well as publish them through the university’s digital repositories and YouTube channel. As a result, the A+V team faced the challenge of delivering a solution that would provide broad access to events both in real time and on demand. The system needed to support high-quality streaming and recording of audio and video content, ensuring that lectures, conferences and academic events could be viewed live or accessed at any time in the future.

Mobile system for video streaming and recording

Until recently, the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw relied on an external event services provider whenever important lectures, conferences or academic events needed to be streamed or recorded. While effective, this approach was time-consuming, required additional administrative procedures and generated recurring equipment rental costs. For this reason, the university decided to build the capability to manage professional live productions independently.

In response to these clearly defined requirements, the A+V team selected and delivered a high-performance mobile video streaming and recording system tailored to the Faculty’s needs. As the AV integrator, we were also responsible for commissioning the solution and providing comprehensive user training, ensuring that university staff could confidently operate all components of the system and independently manage future events and broadcasts.

Education without limits
of distance or location

For the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, this investment represents a major step forward in the development of modern education. Well-designed and properly implemented audiovisual systems are shaping the future of learning by reducing the barriers of distance in an increasingly connected world and enabling students to acquire knowledge and skills regardless of their physical location.

If you are looking for ways to take your institution’s educational capabilities to the next level, we would be happy to help. Get in touch with our team to learn more about the possibilities!

Perhaps the best illustration of the transformation achieved at the Faculty of Law and Administration comes from the words of one of the speakers who used the new system during an event held shortly after its deployment.

Today, around 50 people are attending the event in person, but we expect as many as 1,000 participants to join remotely. Among them will be distinguished experts, judges and students who, due to their professional commitments, are unable to be with us in the room today. This hybrid format has become an enormous advantage for us. In fact, we can no longer imagine organizing events of this kind without it.
