Successful modernisation of the European Council main conference room in the Europa Building in Brussels

In mid-June, the European Council held its first meeting in the newly renovated conference room in the prestigious Europa Building. Following four months of intensive modernisation works, the space was officially brought into operation.

A landmark project for the European Council

The space is designed to accommodate the heads of state or government of all 27 EU Member States. The A+V Europe team had the honour of contributing to this exceptional project by taking responsibility for a key area of the technology infrastructure. Our involvement was based on close cooperation with the project’s main contractor – Telmaco and successful collaboration with other leading European companies. We installed a modern conference and sound reinforcement system, replaced the equipment in the racks and upgraded the camera system. In mid-June, the room hosted its first meeting, attended by leaders including António Costa, Ursula von der Leyen and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The implemented technology ensured seamless audiovisual support and the highest level of comfort for meetings at the highest level of the EU.

Success built on collaboration

This impressive achievement would not have been possible without the creativity and expertise of the technical teams responsible for the modernisation, the knowledge of experienced suppliers and the outstanding work of the conference support technicians who ensured the reliability of the event.
