Challenge

A modern showcase of the
Polish-Czech border region

In the heart of Kudowa-Zdrój, a town famous for its picturesque landscapes and healing waters, the idea for a space that would combine education, fun, and the fascinating history of the region was born. Karol and Anna Zębik, the founders and owners of the Polish-Czech Interactive Museum of the Kłodzko Region, dreamed of something more than just a traditional exhibition. They envisioned a modern symbol of the Polish-Czech borderland.

To bring this vision to life, they needed a team that could combine technological knowledge, design experience, and attention to detail. The project received funding from the European Union, which required a public tender process. As a result, A+V was selected as the main contractor and partnered with Vidifilm for the visual and graphic concept. The project was complex and required tight coordination at every stage.

Key project challenges included:

Creating the concept design.
Preparing the executive and workshop documentation.
Developing guidelines for IT installations and user operations.
Designing cabling infrastructure, planning the layout of two museum floors.
Lighting design and lighting control scenarios to enhance immersive experiences.
On the request of A+V, Vidifilm provided consistent, visually engaging scenography and multimedia content.

The owners wanted to create a place where everyone, regardless of age, could actively experience the exhibition: touching, listening, smelling, moving, and interacting. The museum was to be a space where education meets emotions, and local tradition meets modern multimedia.

Solution

A cohesive, multidimensional story

The delivery of the Polish-Czech Interactive Museum of the Kłodzko Region is a result of combining the owners’ vision with the experience and technological creativity of A+V. From the very first step into the museum, visitors are greeted by Liczyrzepa – the Spirit of the Mountains – in the form of a hologram, played by a famous Polish actor Robert Gonera. This sets the stage for a journey through themed rooms, where multimedia, lighting, and sound tell a multidimensional story about the region.

Key audiovisual technologies include ambient sound systems, holographic projections, an interactive floor, touch and motion sensors, touchscreens, and VR installations. The project also uses light projections, LED panels, and sound effects that transform each room into a unique environment, from realistic mountain landscapes and a virtual balloon flight to the mysterious labyrinth of the Błędne Skały (Errant Rocks).

Effect

A story that continues long after
you leave the museum

The final result is more than 600 m² of modern exhibition space, filled with themed rooms that take visitors on a truly sensory journey through the landscapes, legends and culture of the Polish-Czech border region. Each room offers a unique experience, from meeting the legendary Rübezahl in holographic form to immersive environments where light, sound and scent come together to create a cohesive narrative.

We also ensured that the building itself invites visitors inside. LED displays installed in the windows on both floors showcase dynamic content, offering a glimpse into the multimedia experiences awaiting within. This is a story brought to life through interactive and sensory solutions – one that does not end at the museum exit, but stays with visitors long after they return home, inspiring them to further explore the surrounding region.

Client testimonial

I believe A+V delivered on everything they promised, which is why the final result looks so impressive. What matters most is that the outcome matches the project perfectly and that was our biggest concern. The reality turned out fantastic. We have received only positive feedback, guests leave smiling, enjoying themselves, and gaining valuable knowledge. In my opinion, this is an exceptionally successful project and a top-level implementation – says Karol Zębik, owner of the museum.
