Job description

1. Implementations & Installations (30% of time)

  • IP device configuration: assigning IP addresses, updating firmware and initial configuration of DSP processors, control systems and video conferencing endpoints (Teams/Zoom); completing documentation/device lists with assigned addresses and recorded serial numbers (tasks performed mainly in the office).
  • Support during commissioning: assisting Senior Engineers with calibration of audio-video systems at client sites – mainly in Warsaw and the surrounding area, but also across Poland. Opportunity to take part in projects across Europe as well.
  • Installation and cabling: overseeing the quality of physical connections and terminating cable ends (RJ45, XLR, HDMI) according to the technical design.
  • As-built documentation: updating as-built drawings and documentation in Google Docs/Sheets after the installation is completed.

2. Service Support & Maintenance (50% of time)

  • First-line diagnostics: remote and on-site analysis of service tickets (checking device connectivity, reviewing system logs).
  • Communication with manufacturers: independently opening and managing technical support tickets in English with global vendors (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Logitech, Shure).
  • Warranty replacements: handling service equipment logistics (shipping, receiving, post-repair testing).
    On-site system checks: regular visits to client offices to verify system performance and record potential issues.

3. Development & Initiative (20% of time)

  • Active skills development: completing an industry certification path (e.g. Crestron Technician, Dante Certification) during working hours.
  • Process optimisation: proposing improvements to implementation workflows (e.g. “how to configure 20 identical touch panels faster”).

The ideal candidate

  • is eager to work and grow professionally
  • is open to business travel – on average, one multi-day trip per month
  • is mobile and holds a Category B driving licence
  • has knowledge of devices and computer networks
  • can summarise completed work clearly, draw conclusions and write useful notes
  • has basic knowledge of planning, time management and problem-solving
  • is communicative and responsive
  • speaks English at minimum B2 level (no certificates required, but enough confidence to read technical documentation, write vendor support tickets and communicate with international IT teams; additional languages such as German or French are a plus, but not required)
  • has an interest in the audiovisual systems industry (audio, video and control systems)
  • is familiar with: Excel or Google Sheets (basic to intermediate level); office tools (Outlook, Word, Teams, Google Workspace) and other industry tools as above
  • holds licences/certifications (required / nice to have): SEP E1, industry certificates (Crestron, Extron, Dante, Q-SYS, Biamp), networking certificates (Netgear, Cisco), VC platform certificates (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
