Key AV trends from ISE 2025 – A+V’s perspective

The Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 trade fair in Barcelona once again brought together leading AV integrators and innovators, showcasing the latest technologies and market trends. While many expected artificial intelligence (AI) to dominate discussions, it was not the central theme of the event.

Instead, the industry focused on display evolution, LED technology, AV-over-IP systems, and smart solutions for space management and communication. Representing A+V, Bartosz, our Distribution Department Manager, had the opportunity to see these cutting-edge technologies firsthand.

Here are the top AV trends that stood out at this year’s event:

1. E-Paper – A New Era of Digital Displays

E-paper technology is not new, but this year it took a major leap forward. Leading producers introduced new formats and applications, showcasing e-paper video walls with image quality comparable to traditional prints.

ProDVX and Sharp presented solutions that could revolutionize how content is displayed in public spaces, offices, and transportation. E-paper is not only known for its high readability but also for its energy efficiency, making it an attractive option for industries seeking sustainable solutions.

2. LED Everywhere – even in 3D

ISE 2025 confirmed that LED remains the king of display technology. Samsung and Sony showcased glasses-free 3D displays, delivering a stunning visual effect – particularly for applications in museums and commercial spaces.

With advanced technology, LED screens now offer deeper and more realistic visuals.

3. Transparent Displays Are on the Rise

Transparent LED screens were a highlight at many booths, showcasing their potential for architecture, retail and office spaces. Samsung and LANG impressed us with artistic and functional applications of transparent displays.

4. New Screen and Projector Formats

Producers introduced unique screen formats, including 105-inch vertical displays for reception areas and flexible LED screens with foldable edges.

ViewSonic and Optoma presented ultra-short throw projectors, which could completely redefine the way spaces are used.

5. AV-over-IP and Smart Signal Management

The future of AV is full integration with IP networks. Widely used by A+V AV-over-IP solutions were widely featured at booths from Crestron, Panasonic, and Netgear, demonstrating how modern systems allow for seamless video and audio transmission without complex cabling.

A key innovation from Crestron was the ability to control any video conferencing system (Teams, Zoom, Google Meet) from a single touch panel – a significant step towards simplified operation and greater system flexibility.

6. Smart Booking Systems and Space Management

There is a growing demand for smart office space management. Crestron introduced new room and desk booking systems, integrated with LED lighting, along with an innovative wayfinding solution that helps users locate and reserve the nearest available room.

A notable feature was the use of QR codes and RFID technology for activating room controls, making space management more intuitive.

7. Next-Level Video Conferencing

Video conferencing continues to be a key area of innovation for many manufacturers. Crestron introduced Android-powered soundbars with automatic speaker tracking, improving the flow of online meetings.

Jabra Panacast 40 VBS, with its 180° field of view, can be a game-changer for small meeting rooms, providing a wider perspective at a competitive price.

Meanwhile, Shure entered the video conferencing market, launching Microsoft Teams-certified solutions integrated with ceiling microphones and cameras.
